Our Expert Opinion on Revolut Standard

The Revolut Standard is a free plan that suits people who want fee-free weekday spending abroad without paying a monthly charge. Abroad, it sits about 0.3% off the real exchange rate, which puts it behind the best cards, and the 1% weekend markup is a genuine catch worth knowing. On rewards, it earns 0.1 RevPoints per £1, which at roughly 0.07% value is 0.67% behind the typical reward card at 0.74%, so I would not choose this primarily for points. If you want more earning power, Revolut Premium offers 0.25 RevPoints per £1.
