Our Expert Opinion on Nationwide 1 Year Triple Access Saver

Jonny PeaseCo-Founder, DepositScout

The Nationwide 1 Year Triple Access Saver pays 3.30%, which is below the market average for easy access accounts and 1.70% behind the category leader at 5.00%. The real catch is the withdrawal limit: a fourth withdrawal in the 12-month term triggers a significantly lower variable rate of just 1.05% for the remainder, so this only works if you are confident you will not need regular access. At 3.30% it does beat August 2026 CPI of 3.1% by 0.20%, but if you want easy access without that withdrawal risk, Tandem Bank's Instant Access Saver is currently paying 3.40% with no such restriction.
