Our Expert Opinion on Bank of Scotland Fixed Cash ISA 2 Year

Jan WatermannCo-Founder, DepositScout

Bank of Scotland's Fixed Cash ISA pays 4.10% for two years, which is below the market average for Cash ISAs and 1.02% behind the category leader at 5.12%. The rate does beat August 2026 CPI by 1.00%, so you get a real return, but I would look at Cynergy Bank's Online ISA at 4.15% before committing here. The main catch is the early exit penalty: 180 days' tax-free interest, which can eat into your original £500 minimum balance if you haven't accrued enough yet.
