The Starling Easy Saver pays 4.00% AER right now, but that headline rate is made up of a 2.50% base rate plus a 1.50% boost that only lasts 12 months, so existing Starling customers need not apply as this is for new customers only. Once the boost expires you drop back to 2.50%, which is where the real decision lies: if you want to stay above 4% without switching, Cynergy Bank's Online Easy Access Account at 4.15% or Virgin Money's Double Take E-Saver at 4.16% are both worth a look. On the plus side, there are no withdrawal restrictions and interest lands monthly.
