Santander's Regular Saver pays 8.00% for one year, which is one of the stronger rates around for disciplined monthly savers, and it is open to existing and new customers alike. The rate is made up of a 3% base rate plus a 5% boost for 12 months, so be aware it will drop back to that lower base rate once the boost period ends. You can only fund it from a Santander current account and the monthly deposit cap is £200, meaning the most you can build up over the year is £2,400, so the headline rate flatters the actual interest in cash terms.
