Our Expert Opinion on NatWest Flexible Saver

Jonny PeaseCo-Founder, DepositScout

The NatWest Flexible Saver suits existing NatWest customers who want instant access and the convenience of keeping everything under one roof, but the rate is hard to justify on its merits. At 1.00% for balances up to £24,999, it sits below the market average for easy access accounts and 4.00% behind the market leader at 5.00%, while even the top tier of 2.10% for £250,000 or more still sits 2.10% below August 2026 CPI of 3.1%, meaning your money loses real value. I would seriously consider Tandem Bank's Instant Access Saver at 3.40% as a straightforward alternative.
