Opened in a branch or agency by a parent, adoptive parent, someone with parental responsibility or a grandparent (with consent) for a child under 18, or by a young person aged 14-17 themselves. One account per child; the child can take over running it from 14. Must be funded within 30 days of opening or it is closed. At the end of the 12-month term it switches to the Society's Young Saver account.
