Our Expert Opinion on Lloyds Bank World Elite Mastercard

The Lloyds Bank World Elite Mastercard is best suited to frequent travellers who value lounge access and fee-free spending abroad, where it uses Mastercard rates and sits practically nothing off the real exchange rate. The £15 per month fee is the genuine catch here, and the cashback earns at 0.5% up to £15,000 a year then 1% above that, which is 0.24% below the typical reward card at 0.74%. I find that gap hard to overlook given the monthly cost, so unless you are spending heavily and regularly using Priority Pass lounges and airport fast track, the numbers may not stack up in your favour.
