1% cashback in the first year, then 0.25% on eligible purchases.
No non-sterling transaction fee on purchases or Lloyds cash-withdrawal fee abroad.
You need to be a UK resident aged 18+ with a regular income.
You can add up to three extra cardholders.
The Lloyds Ultra is best suited to travellers who carry a balance, offering practically nothing off the real exchange rate on Visa and a 14.9% APR, well below the 27.90% typical for fee-free cards. I would use it for the first-year 1% cashback, but once that drops to 0.25% it earns less than the typical reward card, which averages 0.74%. I would also avoid cash withdrawals abroad entirely, as interest applies immediately regardless of the fee-free billing.
