No cashback or points — fee-free foreign purchases.
No foreign transaction fee on purchases. 3% cash fee (min £3) on ATM withdrawals, with interest from day one. The separate NatWest Reward card still charges around 2.75%.
Pay balance in full monthly.
The NatWest Credit Card is best suited to people who travel and want to keep borrowing costs low, as it combines fee-free foreign purchases on the Mastercard network at practically nothing off the real exchange rate with a 12.9% APR, well below the 27.90% typical of fee-free cards. There are no rewards on spending, so I would not choose it if cashback or points matter to you. The genuine catch is ATM withdrawals abroad, which carry a 3% cash fee with a minimum of £3 and interest charged from day one.
