The FlexPlus Debit Card is really a packaged account play rather than a rewards card, and its strongest suit is overseas spending: it uses Visa at practically nothing off the real exchange rate, which is the best rate we have measured. The genuine catch is the fee, which rose to £18 a month in December 2024, working out to £216 a year, so I would only consider it worthwhile if you would otherwise be paying separately for worldwide family travel insurance, mobile phone insurance and breakdown cover. This card suits families who travel regularly and want those policies bundled conveniently.
