Metro Bank's one-year Fixed Rate Cash ISA pays 3.65%, which sits below the market average for cash ISAs and 1.47% behind the category leader at 5.12%, so it is hard to recommend on rate alone. It does beat August 2026 CPI of 3.1% by 0.55%, which at least preserves real value. The main catch is the strict no-access rule: no partial withdrawals are permitted, and leaving early or transferring out triggers a 180-day interest penalty. If you want a cash ISA with better returns, Tembo's Standard Cash ISA is currently paying 4.00%.
