Additional Info

Trading 212 is best known as an investment platform, and this cash ISA is part of its push to bring in new users. The account itself is a standard cash ISA (your money isn't invested), but be aware that the platform also promotes investment products that carry risk. If you're only interested in the savings account, make sure to choose ‘Trading 212 Cash ISA’ when signing up, not the stocks & shares ISA. Customer support is available via live chat and email, but there's no phone line.

Our Expert Opinion on Trading 212 Cash ISA

Trading 212 is primarily a brokerage, so this Cash ISA sits alongside its investment products rather than being a standalone savings bank, which is worth bearing in mind. The headline rate of 4.63% AER includes a 1.01% bonus for the first 12 months on top of a 3.60% base, and after that the underlying rate tracks the Bank of England base rate minus 0.15%, so it will drift down if rates fall. It accepts ISA transfers in and only needs £1 to open, but the bonus is for new customers only, and once it drops away I would still check alternatives like the Moneybox Cash ISA at 4.73% or Plum Cash ISA at 4.71%.
