Spring's Accelerate Saver pays 5.00% variable on instant-access savings, which is a solid rate for anyone who wants their money within reach and interest credited monthly on the first of each month. The main catch I would flag is the £5,000 balance cap, so if you have more to put away this account will only do part of the job. Spring shares its FSCS licence with Paragon Bank, worth bearing in mind if you already hold savings there. If the cap is a problem, Cahoot's Sunny Day Saver matches the 5.00% rate and is worth a look.
