Our Expert Opinion on Coventry Building Society Fixed Rate Saver 30.11.2027

Jan WatermannCo-Founder, DepositScout

Coventry Building Society's Fixed Rate Saver locks your money away until 30 November 2027 at 4.00%, and after the 14-day cooling-off period there is no access whatsoever, so this suits savers who are certain they will not need the funds before that date. The rate does sit below the market average for fixed-rate accounts, and at 1.35% behind the current best of 5.35% that gap is hard to ignore. It does beat August 2026 CPI of 3.1% by 0.90%, so you are at least getting a real return. If you want a shorter commitment, OakNorth Bank's Fixed Term 12 Months pays 4.96%.
