GB Bank has increased the rate on its 150 Day Notice Account from 4.20% to 4.38%, with the change picked up on 7 August 2026. The move takes GB Bank to the top of the notice account market, making it the current market leader in this category.
A 0.18 percentage point rise is a meaningful improvement, and at 4.38% this account now sits ahead of competing notice accounts currently tracked across the market. However, savers should keep in mind that this is a 150-day notice account — meaning you must give 150 days' notice before accessing your money. That's roughly five months, so it suits those who are confident they won't need quick access to their funds.
As with all variable-rate accounts, the rate is not fixed and could change again at any time, in either direction.
If you're an existing GB Bank 150 Day Notice Account holder, the increased rate should apply to your balance — but it's worth logging in or checking your provider communications to confirm exactly when the new rate takes effect for you.
